The Suns officially tendered a qualifying offer, worth $16.4 million, to Deandre Ayton which will make him a restricted free agent on July, as reported by Keith Smith.
Multiple teams are expected to pursue the 23-year-old center, most notably the Hawks and Pistons. The Suns are reportedly not interested in offering the former number one draft pick a max deal.
This past season Ayton averaged 17.2 points, 10. 2 rebounds an 1.4 assists in 29.5 minutes per game for Phoenix.
